Guardian Farm
Boarding Kennel is owned & operated by Jayne & Mike
Faupl. My husband, Mike & I started the business in
1993. I wanted to be at home to be able to spend more time with
our dogs.
We started out
training, showing & then raising German Shepherd Dogs, shortly
after we were married in 1985. We have also owned several
sporting breeds as well.
Our First dog,
Karna, was trained through her utility degree, which she earned in
only 4 trials. After that I wanted to try conformation &
got Tessie Mae, who is the grand mother & great grandmother to
the dogs I have today. I have had 3 champions of record & 5
dogs with obedience titles from CD thru UD. We do limited
breedings and always breed with a total dog in mind. Our dogs
must be able to compete in both the conformation ring & a working
ring. Today several of our dogs have their herding instinct
certificate, as well as CGC titles and others have obedience and
Championship titles.
I learned to groom
while showing dogs for others. I apprenticed through a
breeder/groomer that I showed English Springers Spaniels for.
Although I no longer show dogs for others, I have continued to do
grooming and have since expanded my grooming to include all breeds.
My husband Mike
is a great handy man around the kennel & can answer any
questions you may have. Of course he works during the day but
is at home in the evenings to help out with chores & care for the animals.
We hope to make an
addition on to our kennel soon & expand our grooming business.
